Concrete Plans

A disparate and rugged crew of builders are hired to renovate a remote opulent mansion. It belongs to the last heir of a once-wealthy military family. The men are each at their wit's end - broke, living in squalor, and facing their own personal demons. 

When it's discovered their employer plans to cheat them, tensions come to the boil. Soon one by one the men snap, turning first on their boss and then on each other, building to a visceral crescendo of violence that ensures none of them will return home the same - if they return home at allCast:

This dark short film starring Luke Treadaway (Attack The Block) was described by The Guardian as "William Jewell's stylish thriller feature-in-waiting". Following the recent completion of his debut feature 'Concrete Plans', this proof-of-concept short film is currently being expanded into a longer form piece.

This Time Next Year

Told in a series of 12 short webcam monologues across the span of a year, ‘This Time Next Year’ charts the story of Jackie Morgan - unwittingly pregnant at 15. It is based on Alan Bennett’s ‘Talking Heads’ updated for a webcam age as Jackie is by turns self-deluding, naive, optimistic, angry, resigned and rueful as she stares into the unblinking webcam lens. Starring the superb Holli Dempsey who has since gone on to star in ‘Black Mirror’, ‘Dr Who’, ‘Derek’, ‘The New World and Harlots’. 

Commissioned by the NHS to highlight issues of underage pregnancy in a realistic, hard-hitting but sensitive fashion, it was hosted on their Sexual Health website. An amalgamated cut combining the individual episodes was then selected for Raindance Film Festival.
